The ukuDoba methodology was developed in a collaboration between Chalmers and University of Pretoria, in South Africa. I was involved in the pedagogical setup and the introduction/application of the methodology in a 1-week workshop format with our students in projects in the suburbs of Gothenburg including Hammarkullen. This methodology has been an integral part of the studio for a few years where students collect, map and visualize collaborative analytical data of qualitative and quantitative nature, about their project contexts and sites, and based on interviews with stakeholders and residents.
